Vegetarian Diet - Help?

Recently Ive chosen to become a Vegetarian. Every day i wake up and i goto the gym. I use a cardio machine for about 1hr. then i lift weights for 30min-1hr. At night time around 10pm i go running for about 6 miles. Give or take of how i feel that day.

I used to eat alot of meats. I dont want to eat meat anymore. But i want to still have a good source of protien. Is there anything out there that can give me enough protien like meat. And does Peanut butter help? And also, Is there anything i can eat to give me more energy.

Nuts (peanuts, cashews), beans, low-fat dairy products, and hard boiled egg whites give you plenty of protein and energy.

you should really rethink the whole vegetarian thing espeically since you work out so much. its a fact that vegetarains thend to have mineral deficiencies. If you are working out meat is a great source of vitamin and minearls. You dont have to eat a lot of meat just eat about 2 to three ounces per serving. anythigmore your body may not absorb. But the best source of iron is red meat. The best source of b vitamins and zinc an copper and selenium is red meat then chicken an fish.
I would defiantly try eating more vegetables but also incorprate some animal protien in your diet. think about it human have been eating meat since the beginning of time. mean at Omega 3 fatty acids. Fish had Iodine. LIve has vitamin A.
Don't forget the amino acids. They build bones, muscle and creae antibodies to fight off diseases.
When it coems to protein nothing compares to meat or meat prodcuts like milk and whey protein. STay away from Soy, soy has estrogen in it and it is not so good for men. You really should do a lot of research before you go off and change your life. I had to learn the hard way.

I'm a vegetarian too. Take a multi-vitamin daily. Drink a lot of milk(unless your vegan. Then drink soy). And yes peanut butter does help. It's got a lot of protien in it. If you eat eggs, eggs are good too.
