Vegetarian Diet - Help? |
Recently Ive chosen to become a Vegetarian. Every day i wake up and i goto the gym. I use a cardio machine for about 1hr. then i lift weights for 30min-1hr. At night time around 10pm i go running for about 6 miles. Give or take of how i feel that day. Nuts (peanuts, cashews), beans, low-fat dairy products, and hard boiled egg whites give you plenty of protein and energy. you should really rethink the whole vegetarian thing espeically since you work out so much. its a fact that vegetarains thend to have mineral deficiencies. If you are working out meat is a great source of vitamin and minearls. You dont have to eat a lot of meat just eat about 2 to three ounces per serving. anythigmore your body may not absorb. But the best source of iron is red meat. The best source of b vitamins and zinc an copper and selenium is red meat then chicken an fish. I'm a vegetarian too. Take a multi-vitamin daily. Drink a lot of milk(unless your vegan. Then drink soy). And yes peanut butter does help. It's got a lot of protien in it. If you eat eggs, eggs are good too. |
