Does the vegetarian diet really help lose weight? don't you need meat to build muscle?

Changing your diet to vegetarian doesn't necessary mean you'll lose weight. Vegetarian doesn't always mean low fat, low calorie, or low carb.There is bad in every diet, it depends on how you eat and cook.

Also, if you decide to eat as a vegetarian, you need to educate yourself on how to do so properly or you could hurt your body. You may not recieve enough proteins etc if not done correctly.

To lose weight you need to drink a decent amount of water, exercise, cut the carbs, calories, and fat down. To lose one pound a week you need to cut 3,500 calories out of your diet a week.

only be a veggie is you have to, ( as in dont like meat) dont do it to lose weight. simple... eat right and exercise, its not magic! but it def works!

you dont need meat to build muscles, you need protein, vegetarian's get protein from nuts and stuff.
a vegetarian diet wont neciseraly make you loose wait cause there is nothing stopping you from eating all the junk food you have already been eating!
