Is a vegetarian diet best for diabetics? |
Is a vegetarian diet best for diabetics? not really Not particularly. what type of diabeties ? either way the answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could explain why if i knew what type it was but answer is still no not necessarily. Diabetics need a high protein diet, meat is a very good source of lean protein. What a diabetic needs to avoid are foods high in sugars and simple carbohydrates. Absolutely, not just for diabetics but for those with cancer, arthritis and all sorts of disorders and illnesses. Of course with a diabetic, one must be particularly careful with sweets even of fructose (natural sugar from fruits). Not only staying away from meat which is very harmful to health but from refined, bleached and "enriched" products. These products are altered and the original naturally occurring nutrients and minerals etc. are removed and then supposedly put back but its no longer natural. A well balanced diet is best for diabetics whether or not it is vegetarian. no the protein is verry helpfull no,vegetarian diet actually is deficient in many necessary nutrients.. diabetics should eat a balanced diet containing large amounts of dietary fibers that would regulate carbohydrate absorption which is present in leafy vegetables and other vegetables and fruits but most commonly in full grains.diabetic patients also need good protein supply which should be of animal source as the plant protein is of low biological value as it lacks the essential amino acids.u should also avoid fats except those rich in omega 3 fatty acids that r found in fish as tuna and sallmon and also found in un roasted nuts .and should avoid direct sugar as it causes rapid elevation of serum glucose. well im a beauty / health consultant call me if u need solutions no worries i can analise for u free ABC News just released a study saying that a vegan diet reverses diabetic symptoms, so yes a vegan diet can be good for diabetics. |
