Yes! not only do you avoid eating all of those hormones they pump the meat full of, but the bloating caused by the extensive digestion needed for digesting meat. and there are plently of other ways to get your protein.. I am a vegan I had been a vegetarian for three years, and recently due to health problems slowly integrated meat into my diet. when i was eating meatless i had more energy and felt better overall. My cholesterol has raised and my hypoglycemia has worsened. I do believe had i not started eating meat again that i wouldn't feel like crap everytime i wake up also. vegetarian diets do make you feel more energized and help keep you at a healthy weight also. all u did was copy an paste this from the link you gave uss....this is yahoo answers.....not yahoo give us stupid info....besides vegitarians rock (im one an im only 13) You think so? I think there seems to be a correlation between eating the flesh of the vegetable and smugness, look at me I'm so wonderful, I must be superior to those barbarians, vegetarians and vegans seem to be so uptight, they spend much of their misery criticising other people who do not share their enthusiasm for vegetables.
