Vegetarian diet 2 weeks should i take any vitamins?

I just need some ways that I can get protein in other foods

and

any vitamins that I should take

I've been a vegetarian for 5 weeks and I recently saw a nutritionist. This is what I learned:

We get proteine from animals because they have the same protein as we do in our bodies. You can get the same kind of protein from other ani mal products that don't invovle flesh like milk, cheese, eggs, ect.

Also, beans and nuts are protien. However, you have to eat wheat with it so it converts as protien into your body.

yep 1 multivitamin and 1 iron tablet daily, with a bit of food.

xx

Yes! Do take vitamins. Probably a multi-vitamin would be okay, but it's important to get enough iron, so make sure you take one that has iron in it. You could miss out on some of the B vitamins, unless you do your research and plan your diet very carefully, so you might also want to take a vitamin B supplement too.

For protein, eggs are the closest you're going to get to a complete protein, even better than meat. If you eat lentils and beans you'll have to combine them with rice (preferably brown rice) to get a complete protein. Be careful with soy products! If you are not used to eating a lot of tofu, start with maybe 2 times a week. If you go hard core eating tofu and drinking soy milk every day, you might have some trouble having a bowel movement. Good luck, and don't forget about the 5-10 servings of fruit and veggies that the Canada Food Guide recommends!
