Please suggest some low carb vegetarian diet which is good before a long walk and jogging?

I thought low carb diet before exercise is good!!! In that case what should i eat before a walk or jog or exercise (Veg)

What a load of crap. I have done low carb for a couple years and never had a problem. In fact I used to have a prediabetic condition. I had high triglycerides, glucose and cholesterol. It reversed those problems for me in a couple of months. I have known lots of people who did low carb. Nobody ever had any of those problems. With all the veggies you eat doing low carb, you probably have a lower risk of colon cancer. I think the first chick is one of those people who thinks you eat no carbs and have lard patties and bacon grease all day. Or part of the food lobby. lol

Still if you are a vegetarian, go with the diet the 2nd guy posted. That one is pretty good too. Get some protein though. Maybe some whey or soy products.

NO low carb diet is good. They are all very disastrously unhealthy. They cause diabetes, colon cancer, and irritable bowel syndrome. IBS occurs in more than 80% of people who eat a low carb diet longer than 28 days. Even if you do it "off and on" you wreak havoc on your body. Also, you can destroy your kidneys with it as well. Please see your physician and have him/her refer you to a dietician.

don't limit carbs. But eating more complex carbs is better than simple. Eat 8 or 12 grain bread instead of bleached white bread. Veggies are good, don't eat too many fruits because they have lots of glucose. And jog first thing in the morning before eating. You burn more calories from stored fat that way.

The third guy brought protein to my attention... How could I forget!? If you are on a vegetarian diet, it's important to make sure you get a 'complete' protein meaning you get all the essential amino acids. One way is to eat one egg white - one serving with complete amino acids in the correct proportions. Another way is to combine a lagume or dried bean with a carbohydrate. Suggestions include hummous on whole wheat bread (hummous is made with chick peas) or black beans over rice for example.
