The main reason for weight increasing is not for non veg. Because of eating a vegetarian you cannot lose your weight, its all because of fats.
1. You must take some daily exercise its very important thing.
2. Reduce your fat diet.
3. Take a cup of hot water and add two tea spoon of honey and
drinnk it. Continue it till you lose your weight.

It is not easy to shed weight. Weight increase takes place immediately. But to reduce it takes long time of disciplined regimen. Food is the main cause.Vegetarian food is wonderful, I am a born vegetarian. You try to avoid all starchy food from Rice to Potato. And Sweets completely out. Oil to essential minimum. Take a lot of water and watery vegetables to fill up the stomach. Above all sweat out the fat and unwanted salts by exercises.Brisk walking will help a lot. "Lankanam parama oushadam" says the ancient Hindu Yoga text meaning "To skip (food) is the best medicine". Best of Luck.

I read a book once by someone who lost weight on the rice diet.

Well I wouldnt go vegetarian just to lose weight. My doctor once told me that vegetarians are the most unhealthy people he sees. This is because it is no easy task to replace the amount of protein and other nutrients one receives from eating meat. The trick is to cut out fatty meats. You could stop eating red meat and just eat lean chicken breast, and lean fish. Then supplement your diet with lots of vegetables and fruits as snacks and in your meals.

Another important component is whole grain bread products. they help you feel full and give you better nutrition than bleached flour. High fiber foods such as oat meal and granola keep you full longer and are good for you. just watch the sugar amounts in them. Stay away from execessive saturated fat as well. And exercise of course! good luck!

A moderate amount of all veg. plus fruit plus some protein providing items! Heavily restrict your intake of meat and dairy products!
