since meat is the biggest source of fat a vege diet should really help in the beginning.

You don't have to go vegetarian to reduce fats? In fact thats really not a very good reason to go vegetarian. To stay healty as a vegetarian or a vegan you really need to moniter what you eat, Its quite time consuming to get the protien you need as a veg. Particularly difficult for men. I would suggest you examine your reasons for becoming veg. if you are truely commited there are many great internet resources that can help with recipes and supplements, etc.

If you decide not to go vegetarian, here a few simple ways to reduce fat in your diet. Have fish instead, Eat more salads, Read lables, Eat at home.

Cheers.

You can avoid the oily foods
Nut verieties like pista, baddam etc.
chocholates and icecreams and take lot water and boiled food and vegitables . Avoid Potato chips .
All the best for your fatless diet. Wish you a Happy & Prosperous Fatless New year 2007.

burn what ever u eat. do yoga, brisk walking and beware even oily veg diet is also fatty. avoid fried food altogether and do yoga asana that's best thing u can do.

to lose weight(fat) the first thing you need is will power.

if you have that then you are already half way there !

rule no 1 is DO NOT DIET - no matter what the books and celebrities say, diets are not right way to lose weight, as you will put the weight back when you stop the dieting.

rule no 2 the only way to loose and maintain weight is : healthy food and lots of exercise.

drink atleast 8 - 10 glasses of water everyday.

eat healthy foods. try going vegetarian as veggy foods are less fatty (except oils and cheese of course)

eat green leafy vegetables regularly salads

cut down on your alcohol and fatty food such as oily fried foods, cholocates and whatever that is high on fat.

go for the healthy option - brown bread instead of white, bran flakes instead of sugary breakfast, fruit instead of snacks crisps between meals

eat more 'filling foods' so you dont keep feeling hungry - such as bran, bananas etc.

do 30 minutes exercise atleast 3 days in a week - everyday if possible. you dont have to join to gym or something if you dont want to. brisk walking / jogging / swimming for 30 minutes will be good enough.

if you continue above then you will see the difference in 2 months

pls remember if you have high blood pressure / diabetes then consult your doctor first.

the only food that really has a signifigant amount of fat in vegetarian diet is dairy, eggs, avacados, and nuts, olive oil, vegetable oil, also some tofu.Just eat mainly veggies and breads and fruits.Small amounts of fat are fine. You can follow a Pritikin diet or Dr. Ornish diet, those are both low fat diet plans,so maybe you can look those up or find the book versions.

Many people ask me how they can slim down. I recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I suggest using natural Hoodia (it's important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard").

The Hoodia sold at http://tinyurl.com/y389on is in my opinion the best Hoodia on the market. It's pure, has no side effects, and they give you a free 15 day sample (there is a $7.99 shipping and handling charge, but they also give you free recipe and diet guides). Fantastic results have been seen with this particular Hoodia.

Vegetarian diets are often lower in calories and fat than meat-diets, and rates of overweight and obesity among vegetarians are lower than among meat-eaters. However, vegetarian diets are no guarantee of a healthy weight. Convenience vegetarian foods can be just as fattening as non-vegetarian foods - in fact some vegetarian products and recipes may contain more fat than meat-based foods. Over-consumption of these high-calorie convenience foods or 'vegetarian' fast-food leads to weight gain just like meat-based foods.
