Does your body require a certain amount of cholestrol, pertaining to a vegan diet? |
Serious answers only please. Your body produces cholesterol on its own which is why even vegetarians with a family history of high cholesterol can have elevated levels. Your body makes its own cholestorol. You should be more concerned with getting enough complete protein from a vegan diet. The human body produces cholesterol (the liver). Just make sure to eat plenty of nuts and seeds, from that you will get adequate fats and protein. For cholestrol you are fine the body produces it's own. On a vegan diet the only thing that you cannot obtain is B12 which is only found in animal products etc. try taking vitamins and eating plenty of soy and such for protein i think your body can only create HDL cholesterol, that's the good kind.I don't have any health problems at all. |
