Vegan diet... getting enough of certain foods.. help?

I've no idea about how much of what i should be eating... (protein, fibre, carbs...etc)
I'm not really sure what's good for what, or how much of what i should be eating...etc

Only now i've become aware, and want to start being more healthy.
Keeping in mind i am vegan (i didn't choose this because of my health, but for the fact i just do not like eating anything that comes from animals)
Could you please link me to some good sites with info, or if you can tell me yourself... what i should be getting enough of each day???

Stick with veggies, you can stir fry them bake them, add any kind of herbs or seasonings. I love squash with tomatoes and bell peppers baked in the oven with soy cheese.

You really shouldn't make the jump to veganism until you're able to fully understand it. However, I'm glad that you're trying to live a healthier life style.

eating a vegan or even vegitarian diet can be unhealthy if you dont get your essential amino acids, vitamins and other nutrients not to mention healthy fats, protien and sugar. you have to plan your meals and match your foods wisely. an example is corn and green beans will give you all your essential amino acids (which your body needs) but they do not by themselves. you need to buy a book on the diet or do some research bc you need things like calcium.

you might want to look at the 4 food groups and see what you should eat daily
you must have iron and potassium and other things in your diet
try looking up the basic four food groups
on yahoo or google
