Whats the best diet for someone who's got cancer, vegan?

well I dont know if I should cut out chicken from my stricked veggie diet.is chicken good for someone that has cancer,I got thyroid cancer it spread to my lungs but im going to be fine dont worry im happy with my life. i will beat it with your help thanks so much!!!!!

No diet or particular food has been shown to affect the progress of cancer in any way.

There is no food that has been scientifically proven to cause, prevent, treat or cure cancer.

I have been vegetarian (no meat, vegetarians don't eat chicken btw) most of my life, and had been vegan (no animal products at all) for 8 years when I was diagnosed with grade 3 cancer. I ate organic, juiced, avoided caffeine, exercised regularly and have never smoked..

None of this stopped me getting cancer, none of it cured me and I'd be foolish to rely on it preventing recurrence or metastasis.

A healthy diet will make you feel better, whether or not it contains meat. I suggest you eat food you enjoy, making sure you have a balanced diet.

id stick with veggies,

I heard a diet high in lemons is good for cancer patients...something about the chemistry and cancer not able to live in the environment high is something...maybe google that?

If you're going through chemotherapy it's usually recommended that you get a lot of protein to help your body rebuild good cells that the chemo destroys. If you want to eat chicken, well, lots of people do. I personally only eat chicken that is "natural" (free of antibiotics/hormones), or organic, or kosher (I'm not Jewish, but Kosher regulations generally yield meats that are almost as high quality as organic).

Well, for the sake of your health at certain points during your treatment you will not be able to eat any fresh fruits or veggies (they will need to be processed and cooked).

If you are vegan just to be vegan, then I would consider adding things like meat just so you have more choices during this time when you may not be able to eat what you normally would.

I would still consider it if you were vegan by principle, however you may want to stay vegan. In that case ask your doc how to most appropriatly prepare your food during treatment.
