Is being vegan healthier than a regular diet is there more benefits if so what are they?

Well it depends on what a "regular" diet consists of. If you go by the average American, then vegan is healthier. If you are a athelete, then I would suggest to eat a healthy diet that does consist of dairy and lean meats to get a good variety of all the benefits natural nutritionhas to offer.
