Vegan diets? |
is a vegan diet right for everyone? i have a lot of problems with my immune system (i'm a vegetarian and have been for almost 5 years.). i've been looking into going vegan, but i was wondering if a vegan diet was right for everyone? I am a vegetarian also. I am not vegan all the way but pretty close. If I do not take supplements and eat the right foods my health goes down hill fast. I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I must say that I am very healthy. More so than those who eat meat. You should research this first. Try going to PETAs' web site. They have some articles on vegans. It's not for everyone, but you should discuss this with your doctor. of course nit. nothings right everyone but if you are already veggie (more power to you) you should e find trying to go vegan. Plus it helps you stay young looking there is a whole bundle of health benefits. I say go for it and good luck!!! I tried, but after 5 years began to see symptoms, then after fighting with bronchitis, and finger nail pain, etc, etc, etc I gave up. Got over being sick in a couple days. And this was after trying all sorts of antibiotics. I must have had some type of nutritional deficiencies. When you go on Vegan diets you need to know what vegetables are needed for the Nutrients you need, Also you need to have fruit for the Anti-oxidants that you need. If you do not know or do not want to eat any then you need to take all natural supplements, Supplements are taken for the things your body is lacking in your food intake. Also there are so many toxins in the foods and air that you should have a cleanse at least every seasonal change. No, vegan diets are not right for everyone. You have to be extremely careful about getting the nutrients you need, and you may need to take supplements, especially iron and vitamin B-12. |
