Pain after a Vasectomy? |
I had a vasectomy and about 3 months later, I began having pain in my left testicle. I called the doctor, they gave me an antibiotic (Keflex/Cephalexin) and it took care of the problem. Well, here I am one year later the the pain has returned. The doctor prescribed more Keflex. Is this pain, and bacterial infection a common issue after having a vasectomy? You have something goin' on down there that is not good. See another doctor or go to the ER. Doctors don't likee to say "Dr. X screwed up", but if you go to the ER they'll do what's necessary to fix Dr. X's flub-up. huh What kind of pain is it? Go see another DR. I had mine done in 69 no pain from the operation I agree with those who say you should get a second opinion. I had mine several years ago, and experienced no pain and no complications after. Everyone's different, but if you have infection one year after, something's up. It may not even be a result of the vasectomy. You will have yo ask your doctor that question. I know it wasn't for me. I was practically pain free and never had any infection. Good luck. There are only two possibilities that come to mind. First you may have been lifting, or playing football too soon after your vasectomy, and gave yourself a herniated testicle (if I got the words correct). The other is the surgeon missed on of your sperm ducts, and cut a tendon. |
