Vasectomy : Tight Underwear/Hot Bath?

Sorry to bleat on again regarding the vasectomy. I just need to know what is recommended for the recovery period, ie. I understand the man should wear tight underwear for a while. What about a hot bath? Do they recommend this? What else do they recommend? Man is going in for the chop on 21 Sep and is starting to worry. Thankyou.

My husband had a vasectomy years ago....could not lift anything heavy for a few weeks...wore a jock support. Abstained from sex until recheck by doctor...got to be sure! But let me tell you, he had more energy during sex than ever before...best thing he ever did and easier than if I had gone under the knife. Just use common sense and call the doc if you are worried. Good luck.

ice pack.

boxers and rest i've had one a couple days he'll be ok but no sex for about a week

He will want to wear a jock strap for about a week. That is only so that there is no pressure on the incision. That is what I did. Boxers are a bad idea.

He will not want a hot bath for about two weeks. He needs to keep the area dry. This is because the incisions are made in a location that does not readily dry out, so he could get an infection if the area gets wet.

He should not do much physical activity for about a week because any sweat down there can also cause an infection.

Don鈥檛 take ANY advise from anyone that has not had a vasectomy, or is not close to someone that did. Many people out there are self-appointed experts, but don鈥檛 even know what a vasectomy is.

first of all they don't chop them off they jsut tie the passage way so no sperm gets out.

after operation usually one week
you should take to avoid haematoma formation
tight underwear and hot bath to avoid infection.
use condom for minimum 3 weeks
otherwise u can make her pregnant
