Funding for a Vasectomy Reversal? |
I had a vasectomy about 5 years ago, thinking I would never find a woman I would want to have children with. However, just over 2 years ago I met a wonderful woman whom I will be marrying in June, and I have never wanted anything more in life than to give her a child. We are pulling ourselves out of debt that we both had accrued before getting together, quite successfully I might add, but we still are working on establishing a savings of some kind. Our insurance will not cover a Vasectomy Reversal, and it is quite pricy. Between 5,000 and 13,000 dollars. The urologists in our area want the money up front. Does anyone have any ideas about Medical Financing, or Medical Payment plans that might be of use to us in this situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am assuming you are in the states???I am in New Zealand and last August my husband had a vasectomy reversal done at a private hospital and it cost $6000 NZ so if you are looking at $5000 - $13000US to get it done why not come and see my beautiful country and have a holiday and get it done while you are here and it would probably STILL cost you less than it would cost in the US flights and accommodation included :) I doubt you are ready for the expense of having a child; buying shoes for it every 3 months, medical care if something goes wrong, clothing, car seat, etc. put up a bill board and let the world know |

As others have said, your primary for a referal, unless you know a good urologist. We happened to have a good one that was a relation by marriage, so I got better drugs than most, I think. I had va... i dotn think it really matters on age...as long as u are 18 and can pay for it. ...yes ... depsite what 'Heads up!' says here above me, you will lead a perfectly normal sex life with all things functioning as normal with the exception of being able to produce offspring.... A vasectomy has about a 99.9% effectiveness rate... meaning that, out of 1000 couples who use it as their only birth control, one will get pregnant after a year. Usually, if the vasectomy is going... Mine was fully recovered in a week. I have heard many men claim that they had some pain months later. That usually means they physically exerted themselves (maybe lifted something) a little too... |
