Henoch-Sch枚nlein Purpura
Henoch-Sch枚nlein purpura (HSP) is a systemic vasculitis that causes the blood vessels in the skin to become inflamed, causing red spots. When the blood vessels in the skin get inflamed, they can bleed, causing a rash that is called purpura.

Henoch-Schonlein is a type of hypersensitivity vasculitis and inflammatory response within the blood vessel. It is caused by an abnormal response of the immune system. It is unclear why this occurs.

usually appears in kids. Usually lasts for 6 weeks. Could be caused by an allergic reaction to something. You should go to the doctor for an evaluation. Sometimes steroids can reduce the symptoms.

Vasculitis isn't an Infectious Disease but I realize finding a category for it might be difficult.

The cause? Unknown. It's considered to be an unusual immune response (allergic reaction) to bacterial or viral infections, often occurs after a throat infection (strep, tonisillitis) or a URI but has been seen following some medications, bee stings, exposure to cold and with food allergies.
