I'm worried about my MOm? |
She went to the doctor and they think she has a vascular disease. A couple of weeks ago her feet broke out with these huge blisters. The doctors think its from plaque that can chip off and go thru the blood stream (like clots) and it just happen to end up in her feet. She doesn't have the test results back yet but I worry because this could also go thru her blood stream and end up in her brain causing her to have a stroke. Strokes run on my mom's side of the family really bad. ANyone else ever had this?? Well, I'm sorry for your mom's medical problems. As her daughter you can help her get better. Teach her the importance of a diet rich in fruits, veggies, and whole grains, and the importance of exercise. All these things, in addition to relaxation exercises, yoga, and positive thinking can actually reverse vascular disease. But, she has to totally change her life (I'm assuming she got to this point from a lack of healthy habits). And it's important for you to adopt a healthy lifestyle as well because these things can be genetic. It's sooo important to eat right and exercise all your life to ward off diseases. Seriously, read up on the subject and you can help her heal herself, and you can prevent yourself from ending up like her. You could start with a book called "Extraordinary Healing" by Art Brownstein. It's a great starting point that will help you learn how to live healthy. If she is developing clots, they will probably put her on a blood thinner like Coumadin or Heparin. If she's got clots (I am just not sure about the plaque---but they have her whole chart and I don't) then yes a clot can end up anywhere in her body. Eat less animal fat. |
