Does any one think I might have non-infectious vaginitis? |
I have been experiencing vaginal itching for the past few months. I lost my virginity in November and thats when the itch first started. My boyfriend and I were both virgins (and i know that for a fact) so I know i do not have a STD. I went to my OB/GYN and she tested me for a yeast infection, BV, and some form of a strep infection. All of the results came back negative. She told me that she thought I might be allergic to the latex condoms I had been using. I switched to using polyurethane condoms and it took much of the itch away. But the problem is that the itch is still there. I read about non-infectious vaginitis and I think thats what i may have. Does any one know anything about this? I want the itch to go away bc it has been driving me crazy for months and it just won't go away. I have been using vagisil everyday since November which helps but when it wears off the itch comes back. Help!!! Yes, it's possible that you could have a non-infectious vaginitis. Sometimes the infection such as bacterial vaginosis (an example only) can occur even though the culture may not show it. |
