Is it possible to have vaginitis& cervicitis at the same time? |
Well yesterday I went to the doctor to have a pap smear (since i'm 9 weeks pregnant) and the doctor said that she was going to check if I had an infection since I had a lot of discharge with a bit of puss in it. Then she checked it under a microscope. When I went to get my next appointment the girl ( different person than doctor) gave me a prescription for a one time pill. I asked her what was it for and she said "vaginitis cervicitis". I asked what exactly that meant and she couldn't really explain it. I was going to ask the doctor but I couldn't find the doctor. So I wanted to know if it's possible to have both? all any " itis" is, is inflammation, usually due to an infectious process. It would almost be impossible to have one without the other. Vaginitis and cervicitis always occur together, they are too closely connected not to share all their little problems. |
