Bacterial Vaginitis, how to stop it!?

Is there a way to stop it from coming back? as if monthly period is not bad enough.

I had it twice. First time I went to the doc, sec time I used the med I didnt finish for the first round, and its seems to be clearing up fine now. I'm gonna continue the cream for a month, like what the label said *the doc say I can stop after it clears, but the label in it says to continue even after it stops*

I know there is no way to prevent it, but is there a way to just.. stop it from coming back?

I never had this problem with my ex... is it because i always use a condom with my ex and not with my current boy? I only have 2 boyfriends whom I have been sexually active with before, and no multiple partners. neither do they. now with BV my sex life with my curent boy is affected.. altho he's really kind and understanding and all.. but it pains me... I'm scare I'm not able to bear children for him in future. and if it keeps coming back... how can we have sex?

Anyone can give me advice? serious ones please.. I am really feeling bad now.

dont feel bad. most people dont realize how common this is and how frequently it comes back. sometimes you can do everything possible and it still comes back. some people get it alot because they have alot of sex. here are some tips: do not douce-EVER., do not touch the anal area during sex and then touch the vagina, do not wear thong underwear, do not use perfumed soaps, sprays or anything down there, do not wear a tampon for more than 2-3 hrs. basically, the women who get bv alot do not have sufficient amounts of good bacteria in their vagina called lactobacillus. unfortunately, there is no known way to increase your lactobacillus. you may just end up dealing with it periodically, unfortunately-many women do.

EATING PLAIN YOGURT WORKS TO RID OF YEAST AND PREVENT THEM

Well don't use wet wipes or anything. Don't use sanitary napkins instead use tampons.

i think you need to go see a gynocologist because something is seriously wrong and it needs to be checked out

sexually active and sexually inactive females can get this. It is not a yeast infection. It is a general diagnosis for several different types of bacteria in the vagina. Doctors haven't pin-pointed the bacteria that causes this infection, so the exact cause(s) are not fully known. Suggestions which may or may not keep you from getting this again include: wearing cotton panties (so the vagina can breath), not wearing tight panties or jeans; don't douche or use vaginal deodorant sprays, or scented intimate items (pads, tampons, toilet paper, wipes, etc). Making sure your patners genital area is clean before sex can also cut down on the odds of getting a bacterial infection again.

i would have to say go to your gyno and talk to them about it..
