Bacterial Vaginitis? What should I do about a recurrence? What did you do?

It's not Chlamydia or Gonorrhea.
About a month ago I started having yellowish green discharge, mild itchiness, and redness/irritation around the vaginal opening. My doctor gave me one week of Flagyl twice daily, which had absolutely no affect at all (the symptoms remained the same, & the discharge INCREASED!)
So I went back and she gave me Clindesse which is Clindamycin (1 time application). I used that, the symptoms disappeared within 24 hours.
I stopped any sexual activity during my treatment with Flagyl and clindesse. One week after using clindesse, I had protected sex, & my symptoms came back again within 48 hours!!!! So I went back to the doctor and she gave me one week of Clindamax (Clindamycin) cream. I'm on day 4 of my treatment, the symptoms are gone, but I can feel some itchiness coming back, & I'm freaking out!!!
I've been going to the health center at my college, & I guess their hands are tied when it comes to prescribing strongoer antibiotics! any suggestions!?

The Flagyl was a pill.

and my partner is clean.

I think you might want to go see a gyno and not one at your health center. Good Luck with that

was the flagyl a gel or pill?

If you are sexually active, you need to have your partner treated.

I think I would also go to a different clinic.

When I had BV my symptoms where nothing like yours. I had white discharge that had a funny smell. So it really dosnt sound like BV to me here is a link that shows many different symptoms hope is helps. I would get a second opinion if I were you.
