What isthe effect of vaginitis on pregnant women? Depends... vaginitis is sort of a catch-all term for inflammation of the membranes of the vagina that can be caused by many things. Many women are more prone to it during pregnancy, simply because the wonky hormone levels that they have can vary their pH (making them prone to yeast infections or bacterial vaginosis).
