Vaginal infections???

I was wondering if there is a connection between having sex and getting vaginal infections... (((totally different from STD's)))

I was wondering since i think i got a vaginal infection last time i had sex (but we wore a condom, and there was no fingering).

Yep! There totally is, anytime you're disrupting the normal resting state of a part of your body there's always chance of infection. Women can get YEAST infections from sex, and also BACTERIAL infections. Body fluids mixing, and the disruption of the normal PH balance of the vag, (by having something go in and out of it...*for lack of better terms*)... and also the pressure it creates, triggers these infections. Have your man always wrap his willy, and make sure you clean up afterward, that would minimize the bacterial infections! But as far as yeast infections go....some women are just more prone to getting them than others, and sex can definately bring it on. You can ,however, always get over the counter meds for it and treat it yourself when you recognize the symptoms(only yeast inf. is OTC., bacterial inf. and you need antibiotics to treat). Anytime your in doubt of something about your body though, always check with your doctor. Hope that helps.

Yes.

yeah

yes they can be more often but yeast infections actually most often come from fingers. so lots of young girls who dont think they are having sex get yeast infections and cant figure out why, well fingering even yourself can end up with that problem , wash well before and after.

The vagina is a great host for infection..Warm and moist..A non clean penis, finger or other penetrating device can bring infection with it.

i don't know about all infections but i do know a yeast infection can be transmitted from a woman to a man during sex. i would try and be more specific with your question if you were wanting to know about a paticular infection, sorry i couldn't be of more help! (unless that was the infection you were speaking of )

Yes, definately. The penis has bacteria also and because it gets introduced into the vagina during sex it can cause Urinary Tract Infections, and Yeast Infections. You can prevent UTI's though by drinking lots of water regularly and or cranberry pills/juice.

Yes,it could also be emotional. It could be anger towards your partner or ex-partners. Read Louise Hay's books.

Other than what the above said about yeast infections, urinal tract infections can occur also due to penetration. During intercourse, the penis thrusts bacteria (even when already in the vagina) up further into the vagina including the urethra. When using an condom with spermicide can increase the chances of urine tract infections because it destroys the "good" bacteria that will help fight against disease.

Vagina's are a purpose built structure. Like anything if there is an excess of use or unusual use this can upset the naturally occuring flora. eg Pelvic Inflammatory Syndrome comes from being stimulated but not reaching climax, the blood that rushes to the site on stimulation is not released. This leads to all kinds of problems. Vaginal infections are very common whether you have sex or not.

Yes there is definitely a connection between sex and vaginal infections, but not all infections are caused by sex the 3 main sources of infection are viral, bacterial or fungal to reduce the possibility of infection insist on a condom every time to help reduce your risk wear cotton crouched panties and practice good hygiene wipe front to back etc.

Yup! That's why they often call it Honeymoon cystitis. Both cystitis and infections can be caused simply by your partners normal bodily bacteris mixing with yours.

Yeast is highly contagious, which is a fungus. it can be spread through sexual contact as well as kissing. As for the fingers thing it had to be on your finger in the first place, so this is why it is crucial that you wash your hands thorouthly after using the bathroom. It could be spread also from sitting on the toilet seat after someone else who has it has been there. Be very careful in public toilets. Put toilet tissue on the seat if you are going to sit.
You do not get yeast from having sex unless the partner has it. Yeast is almost impossible to get rid of, but with a strict regeme it can be done. It is dangerous. you can lose your hair as well as it can get into your blood stream and spread all over your body. It has been known to kill people.
If you want to know more contact me and I will share my experience with it.
