Do vaginal infections cause you to miss a period?

My period is a week late. I had some spotting...one day it was brown, then a few days later there was some light blood on the tissue paper, but it only happend when I wipped. The only symptoms I have of a vaginal infection would be some white discharge. It isn't smelly or itchy or painful either. Can infections cause a missed period? Or could it be pregnancy?

it can cause u to miss it but it dose not sound like u have a infection, pregnancy could b a possibility but id say ur body just skipped it
