I have had several vaginal infections in the past 2 mos. I take all meds persribed to me can I change drs.?

I have already been to this doctor several times and I am still having the same problems. I am swelling and in pain in my pelvis. Vaginal pain is present. I have already taken Diflucan, Nystatin, Clindese (one dose treatment) and Gynacazole (one dose treatment) and Metrogel.
The abdominal CT scan was clear. I had a hysterectomy nine years ago. I have NOT had sexual intercourse of any kind in the past three mos. I am married and only have one partner.
I am thinking it is something more than yeast or bacterial vaginosis (however you spell it).
Can I change doctors for a second opinion?

of course.and i just saw this on the tv the other day.everyone thought it was pregnancy.but it turned out to be liver disease and by the time they actually caught it she was almost dead.it can disquise itself as so many other things.get checked and tell them to check for liver disease or failure or whatever they call it.please do that.

oh dear! It's hard to tell what woudl be better 'cause lady doctor suppose to be the one that nows women best. but to tell u the truth, the first thought that poped into my head was taht u shoudl get ur husband checked as well. Sometimes man are carrying the bacteria but thet don't get ill from it. So maby u shoudl both get medicla treatment.
i know ur anxious but give urself sometiem. If thsi doctor seems to be no help try another one. But if u think of changing him just because u do not recover imediately - be patient.

By all means, please get another doctor. I feel bad for you. I know this is uncomfortable for you.

You can and should get a second opinion. U should also have an STD check. Just in case, even if u believe ur husband would never cheat on u, it's too important not to get checked to be sure. Ask ur doctor about the possibility of cervical cancer as well. All of that being said, it sounds to me like ur having an allergic reaction to something. New shower gel, soap, shampoo, or laundry detergent? U may have started with a yeast infection and are now having a reaction to the antibiotic creams. I had the same problem once and it was because of a new fabric softener i was using. I really hope that helps, I feel for ya. Good Luck.

you say that you have had several vaginal infections i have had the same thing happening to me and i was told that it might be where i have been washing down bellow with soap or when i have been on the toilet and wipeing myself from back to front when it should be from front to back try wipeing youself from front to back and see if that makes a difference
