Chronic vaginal bacteria infections...what causes them and is there a cure?

For the past 10 years, at least, I've suffered with vaginal bacteria infections. Recently I received a very bad pap. I ended up having a Colpo and 2 Leep test done. I was diagnosed with moderate dysplasia. I thought perhaps that was the reason for the infections. Now that the dysplasia is gone...I am still getting infections!

Hi,

I had a hysterectomy in 1994 and started having vaginal bacteria infections all the time.

The doctor said the PH in my vagina was off and that was what was causing the problem.

I found out that taking Probiotics helps replace the good bacteria in your system. I was skeptical at first, but it really works! No more smell or discharge. You can get them at the health food store. Also, at the drugstore you can get a vaginal gel called "RePHresh" that helps balance the PH. It works great and you can even insert it during the day, it doesn't run or leak out.

Find a GOOD OB/GYN

Talk to your gynecologist.

Good luck!

drink cranberry juice and shower daily.

yes maybe you should talk it over with your doc because if you are having them back to back i dont think that is good.

I know it sounds cheesy,( no pun intended) but try the health food store, changing you diet might help. geting the rite bacteria going. do you take baths or showers? Do you wear nylons alot or nylon panties? Moisture might be a factor. I had a colpo OMG! I almost stood up in the stirrups! Good luck!

I am using specific product names because they WORK!

Bacteria and yeast can infect the nutrient rich vaginal lining causing painful swelling, foul odor, colored discharge, and reduced libido. For acute infections, use Nature's Cleanse Feminine Douche morning and evening for 3 to 5 days. For re-occurences or chronic infections, douche each night. Bathe instead of showering each night, soaking for 30 minutes with 1 oz. of Sol-U-Mel and 1 oz. of Renew Bath Oil added to the bath water. Avoid sugar. Drinking 2-6 cups of G'Day Tea each day, and 2 to 3 quarts of water per day, along with the Vitality Pack, CellWise, and Provex as directed helps build resistance to infections.

Th infections may be due to Trichomoniasis, Monliasis.or Nonspecific - like staphylococcus, streptococcus , or E.Coli . You have not mentioned your age. It may be due to Estrogen deficiency also. Since it requires detailed investigations. better consult a Gynecologist..
