Tricomoniasis (vaginal infection) can go on its own?

My doctor didn麓t examine my vaginal discharges but diagnosticated Tricomoniasis, a type of vaginal infection caused by a parasite. The problem is that I have not taken any medication and the symptoms have gone away just using vagisil and he prescribed me Diflucan and Tetraconazole, both medicaments for yeast infections, although, is supposedly a parasite infection what I have. Please tell me if, according to these statements, you think I have tricomoniasis or why is it that I don麓t feel any symptoms now.

Trichomoniasis is a genital infection. It is a common infection that affects both men and women. It is almost always acquired through sexual contact.

Most of the time, trichomoniasis causes no symptoms. At times, symptoms in women may include the following:
+ abdominal distress
+ dyspareunia, or painful sexual intercourse
+ painful urination
+ vaginal discharge
Diagnosis of trichomoniasis begins with a history and physical exam. With proper treatment, trichomoniasis has no long-term effects.

+ Diflucan is an antifungal antibiotic.
+ Diflucan is used to treat infections caused by fungus, which can invade any part of the body including the mouth, throat, esophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area, and the blood.

Metronidazole is highly effective against trichomoniasis.

Good Luck -

Trics are the STD form of a yeastinfection (in lamens terms) so taking stuff for yeastinfections, the antibiotc and cream will get rid of it!!! Be happy.

Trich is a pretty easy beast to kill. You need to treat anyone you are having unprotected sex with though, or you will get it back.

You are clean now. Condom use in the future will prevent such bothersome stuff.
