Vaginal infection (girls only, please)?

My family is leaving on a trip to Big Bear from 1:00 PM tomorrow to 4:00 on Saturday, but I just found out that I have a vaginal infection. I'm embarassed to tell my mom, but even if I do tell her, will there be enough time to go to the doctor's tomorrow? Is there any way to cure this infection by myself? What does the doctor do for vaginal infections, anyway? I'm worried. >.<

By the way, I am 13 years old, so please don't be surprised by my limited knowledge on this subject matter. And I am very sure that this is a vaginal infection. Strange discharge like cottage cheese, etc.

That's a yeast infection, and you are only 13, so the over-the-counter meds could be kind of uncomfortable. Tell your mom, maybe she can call the doctor and have them call in a pill that should get you all cleared up!!

its a yeast infection. go to the drugstore and talk to your pharmacist and they should be able to recommend something for you.

tell your mom. she can take you to the doctor and they will give you some cream or a antibiotic. It won't take long. vaginal infections are very common us girls get them all the time. hope you feel better.

You have a simple yeast infection, nothing to be embarassed about or ashamed of, it happens to women. Simply get some Monistat from the drug store and use it as directed in the package. You don't need to see a doctor unless the Monistat doesn't work and the discharge continues.

Sorry I'm not a female but it sounds like a yeast infection, which is fairly common.

go to the drug store and get something for yeast infections and then maybe you can eat some yogurt.

You don't have to go to the doctor. Go to the pharmacy and get medication for a yeast infection. They have a one dose now that works very well.

Yeast infections come from an imbalance of the natural flora of our bodies. If you have been on antibiotics recently, this could cause a yeast infection as well as many other things. It is not serious and can be taken care of without a prescription.

that sounds more like a yeast infection and yes you can do over the counter stuff for that, but it could be a sign of something more, especially if you are sexually active. so either way you should get into the dr, and you need to tell your mom, she will know best what to do for you.

its a yeast infection, i had it a couple of months ago, and theres nothing to be ashamed of every women or girl goes through it in life...trust me!!! just get the 7 day cream or the pink pill from your doctor it'll take it away like in a day or 2

Tell your mom, she can run you to the store for an over the counter cure. Or she can call the doctor and have them call in a prescription for you. I am a father of a 16 yr old. Sorry, my daughter came to me instead of her mom for the same issue a couple years ago.

sounds like an yeast infection. There's no reason to be embarrassed to tell your Mom, as most women have had these at one time or another. Things you could try on your own is avoiding sugar for a while, as sugar makes yeast thrive. Try eating more unsweetened yogurt. If possible an over the counter yeast treatment may help. The supplement acidophilus can help too.

its a yeast infection. if you've never had sex, then dont worry. if you have, then you need to see a dr to make sure it isnt a REAL vaginal infection.

but asuming you're a virgin, beit your limited knowledge of the subject (your words, not mine), just go to the store and get some monistat. i would get the 3 dose, i find it works better then the 1. its a little messy sometimes (depending on the kind you get) but it comes with some cream to help sooth the discomfort. dont be embarrased to tell your mom. my mom buys it for me if i know she's going to the store!!

a home remedy is to eat more yogurt, there are natural bacterias in it that help fight them. also, there is the home remedy of freezing the yogurt into a popcicle and inserting it. it gets the bacteria there (supposedly) and is supposed to sooth the irritation since its cold. - cant vouge for that one tho.

it sounds like a yeast infection, which is pretty common in women. You can go to the drug store and ask the phamasist to help you pick something that can help cure it in a day or so. Don't be embarrased to tell your mom, this is a normal thing that happens to women...she can help you.

Hi, it sounds like you have a yeast infection. Go to Walgreens or CVS (or any local pharmacy) and get a pack of 5-day (don't fall for the 1 or 3 day) Monistat. It's a bit expensive- but it's worth the cost. Ideally, you should go to a doctor to make sure that you do in fact have a yeast infection and not something more serious. You will need to use Monistat every night for 5 or 7 nights (depending on the one you buy). You should see results in a couple of days, but don't stop with the medicine because the infection will come back. Also, in the next couple of days try not to wear tights or pantyhose and wear cotton underwear. Good Luck.

Hi, what it sounds like you have is a yeast infection. If it burns or itches then it may be a yeast infection or could be something more. Please, don't be afraid to tell your Mom these types of things, some infections can lead to more serious problems down the road. They will probably give you Monastat cream or a vaginal suppository or something similar. I know how embarrasing it can be to talk to Mom, but your health is important and I am sure your Mom agrees.
Yeast infections are very common. Try to wear cotton undies and eat some yogurt, but please like I said talk to your Mom.

you have a yeast invection you can go to a drug store and pick up some cream! don't touch yourself in the mean time other then appling the cream! no sexual incounters either or you will past it on and get it back later!
if you do touch yourself wash your hands unless yuou want it on your mouth or other area's you touch! <-- not too common but happens!

You should tell your mom it could be a reaction to any medications your on.. or could be wearing to tight of clothing! or wrong size underwear to tight!
this happends to EVERY ONE don't worry about it!
or maybe even the food your eating!
this is not sexually so don't worry!

There are two very good over-the-counter products available. Actually there are several brands, but they all consist of one of two medicines. One medication is Clotrimazole and the other is Myconizole. They are available in creams and suppositories. They also come in 5 day, 3 day, and one time strengths. They all work about the same, the only difference is the cost. Obviously the 3 day is more expensive than the 5 day.

You should not be embarrassed to tell your mom. I would talk with her about it definitely. If you are sexually active this unusual discharge, could be related to an STD you contracted. If you are not sexually active it could be a common yeast infection, and is treatable with over the counter products. The best one on the market will rid you of the infection literally overnight. You insert one ovule before bed time and that is it. However, you should never be hesitant to talk with your mom, she is a woman and has been through the same thing you are. Serious women's health issues can go on for a long time with little or mild symptoms. Talk to you mom and then go to the doctor.

Yeast infection...over-the-counter meds should help.

Does it itch? does it burn? does the discharge have a strange color? Does it smell unpleasant? in that case, it might be a yeast infection. Otherwise, looking at your age, it might well be a very normal discharge. If you never had that before and its a first for you, i can see how you'd think it's an infection. If you have none of the above listed complaints other than some white discharge, don't worry, its perfectly ok.

Although this sounds like a yeast infection (better known as thrush), whic can be treated with over the counter products, it is always best to have it checke dby a docter if you haven't experienced it before, especially if you are sexually active! You should tell your mum though, more than likely she has had one at some stage also, most of us have!

well for a quick fix you can try over the counter monistat or vagisil. If you can't make it to the doc. Funny I have relatives that are up in big bear family just died.. wonder if you are related since it is a small area!
