What kind of vaginal infection could this be?

I don't know what it is and I'm not going to the doctors for a few days. I thought it was a yeast infection since I'm on antibiotics, but the diflucan did nothing (I took it 4 days ago). I have a mucousy looking discharge that is sickly sweet smelling. It's been very itchy, and it's bloody from the scratching and the infection. The smell seems to get worse after I urinate. I'm having sharp pains in my side, though I'm not sure it's related.

I'm sexually active, but I'm monogomous and he's the only partner I've ever had. He had sex once before, but he said he was tested. We've always used a condom during vaginal intercourse.

I know you're probably not doctors out there, but I was just hoping this sounds familiar to someone so I can have an idea of what it may be. Thanks.

sounds like pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), yeast usually has a "cottage cheese" like discharge.

hmm

could be a bladder infection that went to your kidneys if your having sharp pains on your side...you need to go to your doctor immediately!this could be very serious!

maybe a urinary tract infection? i know that you are taking antibiotics, but it could still be possible, especially with the blood and the sharp pain. also, maybe a kidney stone. i have had both recently and this is what came to mind as i read your question. good luck - maybe tell us what the doctor said once you have seen him!!! again, good luck to you!!!

See your doctor. They can culture it, find out what it is, and treat it accordingly.

have you every thought it my be the condoms you have been using as this might be a bit of the problem..and have you every been checked for kidney stones. or kidney infection.and you also do not state how long this has been going on for...

get ur doctor to check ur urine u might had a uti (unirity tract infection) I had the same symtoms no antibotics would work, if it is a uti it could turn into something really serious because I got very sick was on iv drip for over a week

First of all, go get proper testing done at the docs because it is no use guessing.

I had almost similar symptoms years ago and was also worried, then I realised that I was extremely sensitive to the spermicide that was added to the lubricant on the condoms that my boyfriend was using. Once the brand of condoms were changed, the problem went away.

Girl if your not cheat ting your man is. Go to the emergency room don't wait till when ever to get that check out. How can you wait to go to a Doctor when it come to the mamasita? what are you thinking? Check this web site out it might help you !

It still could be yeast. It also could be a urinary tract infection.
It could be hormonal changes..Please go check it out soon.
Be sure to have a Pap test . Go soon!!

If Diflucan did not clear up the so called yeast infection, you must go to your physician to be tested to find out what type of infection you have. Whatever type of infection you have, treatment needs to be started now.

Sounds like it COULD be a combination of different infections, particularly if the diflucan that you took didn't clear it up. It could still be a yeast infection, but you could have the added 'good luck' of having a urinary tract or bladder infection.
Even though you can't get in to see your doctor for a few more days, call the office during REGULAR hours and let them know that your symptoms have worsened. Your doctor should be able to 'troubleshoot' with you over the phone and start you on another antibiotic. You should not suffer needlessly until you have your appointment.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
