Can a woman with herpes only on her rectum pass the disease from vaginal sex if she is not having an outbreak? |
No lectures....experience or educated answers only please. umm, yea, i'd think so!! Yes. It even says so in the commercials that advertise herpes medication. I believe that they have to say that by law. A commercial dealing with medication definitely wouldn't say that on it's own. if you have it, you can pass it yes she can, herpes is a virus in the blood Yes, "secretions" that happen down there make it very messy. Everything runs together. Just abstain or use a condom. Herpes is VERY easy to live with, you just have to learn the tricks. It really is safer for your partner if you just abstain even when you can't see an outbreak but you can feel it coming or going. BTW anyone who lectures, probably has it themselves. I have worked as a nurse in a GYN office for 15 years. Lots and lots of people have it, but would never tell anyone. Good luck. Yes. Although the risk of transmission is less than when having an active outbreak, it's still present. People who have herpes can "shed" virus whether they're having an outbreak or not, this is called "anonymous shedding". A large percentage of people who have herpes don't know they have it, but can still spread it. The only symptom not associated with another ailment such as flu, is a tingling sensation in the area infected with the virus. People can be tested for herpes, however most doctors will tell you they can't test unless you're having an active outbreak. This is bunk, tell them to test anyway. There are two blood tests available, one will give you results within 10 minutes, the other has to be sent to the lab. Neither will identify whether it's oral or genital herpes, but it will indicate the presence of the virus. Check out Herpes.org for more info. Herpes can be passed at any time, weather or not your having a outbreak. Be careful, use protection! could be hemroids Yes she can....She can spread the virus further on her own body... People with genital herpes should use condoms at all times. Even when there are no visible blisters, the virus may be present on the genital surfaces and potentially transmissible to sex partners. Although it usually infects only the skin and outer surfaces of the body, HSV may rarely infect internal organs, such as the brain (herpes encephalitis). |
