Symptoms: severe abdominal pain, vaginal discharge, and a low-grade fever. Not an STD. Diagnosis? |
Teresa has been complaining of severe abdominal pain, vaginal discharge, and a low-grade fever. She claims that she does not have a sexually transmitted disease, although the symptoms sound positive. What might be the doctor鈥檚 diagnosis and how should the condition be treated? Possibly UTI or bladder infection. Ruptured Appendix or some sort of infection PID = Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. If we went to you on the ambulance that is what I would lean toward. Go get medical attention. It is not worth losing your ability to have children or something just thinking that this will go away on its own. You better get test right away for Toxic syndrome you have the signs don't mess with nothing like this. Thing start spreading like fire so get yourself in right away. A Doc's diagnosis might be UTI.... urinary tract infection. I am not a Doc.... she'd best have some testing done as anything with these symptoms can be VERY serious! Guessing is DANGEROUS!!!!!! Good luck. Hugs, Gina C. She should be tested for an STD regardless. There are several that fit these symptoms; then take into consideration the asymptomatic diseases that she may have. Factor in the illnesses that lie dormant for long periods of time before symtoms present themselves, if ever. I would go with the PID or UTI. Most likely treated with antibiotics such as Cipro. |
