Vaginal matters?

l am a woman,,aged 28.After a sexual intercourse with someone,l started having problems in my vagina,l would infact feel pain urinating, ichyness and l got a sudden rush around the lips of the vagina.l went to my doctor and a urintest was taken, indicating bacteria in the urin to which l was given antibiotics.l went back to take another test to see if l got any sexual diseases, but the urin was clear.l still have ichyness.what could it be??

you could be allergic to the condom...

or any kind of lubricant you may have used.

i would have them test for everything just to be safe.

Possibly dryness or thrush. There are creams you can buy over the counter at pharmacies to treat either.

it might be thrush i get it all the time

Get tested for STI s. I can not see your vagina.

A yeast infection perhaps?
Go to a different doctor as this matter should have been resolved with the first.

so have u finished antibiotics? it might be that u had bacteria first, but then while u were taking antibiotics they killed all the florae inside your vagina and now u got yeast infection, which is NOT BACTERIA, it is a fungus. it should give u some discharge smells like sour cream or doh. u might go to doctor, tell him about this problem and u will have another test. then doctor will prescribe u vaginal suppositorias. please do not treat yourself yourself. it might be smth else

After taking antibiotics it's common to have the itching. Keep the area very clean and use vagisil cream. All pharmacies carry it. Good luck.

it sounds like you had cystisis originally which i can sympathise with as a frequent sufferer. and it sounds like in addition to that you have thrush or bactrial vaginosis.you may need more anti biotics for this so you should go back to the docs or a GUM clinic! good luck

sounds like thrush .try using can-stern dual.you put the cream around the vagina and a pessary inside .and drink lots of water even live yogurt around v good .good luck

Being tested for a bladder infection and being tested for a sexually transmitted disease are 2 different things.

Yeast infections of the vagina commonly occur when taking antibiotics. The reason is that yeast bacteria is always present in the vagina but when you take antibiotics the bacteria that keep the yeast from over-growing in you vagina are killed so that the yeast gets out of hand. That will cause itching. There are over the counter medications you can buy to treat it.

Another cause of feminine itching is douching and washing with soap. Douching, despite what the commercials would have you believe, is unnecessary and can actually be harmful. Gravity and your body's own secretions keep the vagina clean. If you do have an infection, douching can force the bacteria into the uterus or bladder.

Washing with soap in the genital area is unnecessary. Plain water works just fine unless your doctor recommends otherwise.

If you are still having symptoms then you need to see your doctor again. Genital problems if ignored can lead to complications that can last a life time.

Good luck.

probably ansti - go get it checked
