This is a serious question about chlamydia.? |
Okay a friend of mine has had this disease for like two years. Finally she went and got tested even though we already knew she had it. the results came back today and yes of course, it came back posative for the big c. Well my question is this: I have been sitting on the same toilet as her, drinking after her, smoking after her, using soap after her in the bathtub. Is there any way that I could have contracted this from those things? I'm talking like if someone uses the bar of soap directly on their vagina...and then I did. I have Lichen Sclerosis, so I already have vaginal problems...there is no way I would even be able to tell if I had anything else. Should I worrie about this and should I go get tested? I want serious answers and people who know what they are talking about. Thank you and I appreciate it. Hi look sweetie my answer is simple if you suspect that you may have contracted chlamydia which would be possible from what you have stated.,then I would seek medical opinion as for us to try and diagnose from keyboard is nigh impossible. Source(s):Nurse There would only be a slight change that you could contact chlamydia. It is easily cured if you catch it early with a round of medication so I would recommend getting tested! The only possibility would be from the soap, and WHY would you put soap directly in contact with your vagina? Serious irritation going on there. The odds are probably a million to one. Don't worry, but if you are going to worry anyway, go get tested for free. Find someone or someplace where you can go to get good, reliable information for future reference. Good luck! There is a possibility that you could have contracted it from her so you really should get tested. Chlamydia is one of the easist std's to treat as you normally only need 1 course of anti-biotics for it to clear up. If left untreated it can do horrible things to your body so it's best to get checked up to be on the safe side. Good luck to you and your friend. Highly unlikely that you contracted it from a toilet, the same drink, smoking, or using the same soap. I'm sure any rational doctor would tell you that there's a reason why Chlamydia is called an "STD" which means that it's transmitted via sex. Anyone sexually active should be tested. Anyhow, the good thing..... Chlamydia is easily treatable. Wasting your time worrying about possibly having it is a complete waste of time. Go in and get tested.... If you test positive, then get it treated. If you're negative, then be happy you didn't get it. Either way, the only way to clear your concious is to go in and have a test done. What do you have to lose? i would like to know why she let it go on for 2 years. |
