Can ovarian cancer be detected with an vaginal ultra sound? |
i was found to have a cyst on my ovary i was also wondering if it was cancerous would they be able to tell I don't believe it can be detected by ultrasound until it has formed a tumor. Regular pap smears are a great idea, even though that's more for your cervical health...it could possibly show other irregularities... No but a tumor or a cyst can be.. If you have a cyst on your ovaries you doctor can run test to see if that cyst is cancerous. Often times doctors miss the signs of Ovarian Cancer. My mother was diagnosed but was treated while she was still in her first stage. ALL WOMEN SHOULD RECOMMEND THERE DOCTORS TEST THEM. This can be done with a regular paps. OVARIAN CANCER IS A SILENT KILLER OF THOUSANDS OF WOMEN. |
