Are douches safe to use? |
Is it safe to use a douche? Someone told me they cause vaginal cancer. I don't think that they cause cancer. However, most doctors don't recommend that you douche, because it will wash away the "good" bacteria in your vagina, and could cause a rise in the frequency of yeast infections. I don't advise using them. no they are not. they can push bacteria further up than cleaning it. soap and water should do the trick what ever you do dont use them as a snorkel...not a good thing thats all i am going to say No, they tend to cause more harm than good. i never herd cancer but alot of vaginal infections people tend to use them to cleanse after sex. maybe you should see a gynecologist. nothing in life has guarantees. vaginal cancer is possible. tampons aren't safe either. they have bleach in them. They are completely unecessary, screw up the pH in your vagina, can affect your natural lubrication and are costly. Don't advise, your body has its own cleaning mechanism for this. Many doctors suggest that women do not douche. All vaginas contain some bacteria and other organisms called vaginal flora. The normal acidity that is formed in the vagina help keeps the amount of bacteria down. Douching can change this delicate balance and may make a woman more prone to vaginal infections. Douching has also been known to spread existing vaginal infections up into the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. No proof that it causes vaginal cancer, though. Yes they are good to use in certain circumstances. Like for hygene and such things. But do not use them constantly because they may cause a yeast infection. yes there safe... but don't over do it. if you read the box it will tell you when to use it...after your menstrual cycle or after using jellies during intercourse. i dont think they are good for your vagina at all No. The vagina is a self cleaning organ. Just like you would not want to use harsh chemicals in your self cleaning oven, douching the self cleaning vagina can lead to problems. douches are safe & steral ,Unless you use a dush bag. I honestly do not recommend it. It can cause more harm than good...Just ask your gyno he/she will give you the best answer... mom 31 |
