Post menapausal vaginal bleeding?

what besides cancer can cause this

i have post menopausal bleeding that is coming from fibroid tumors which i was diagnosed with many years ago. polyps also cause vaginal bleeding. i have beeen considering a hysterectomy i guess you could talk to a health care provider. you did not say anything about being in a relationship...but some vaginal infections can also cause bleeding as the cervix can become inflamed . good luck

post menopausal bleed ing is bleeding 6 months after your last period
Postmenopausal bleeding can originate in different parts of the reproductive system. Bleeding from the vagina may occur because when estrogen secretion stops, the vagina dries out and can diminish (atrophy). This is the most common cause of bleeding from the lower reproductive tract.

Lesions and cracks on the vulva may also bleed. Sometimes bleeding occurs after intercourse. Bleeding can occur with or without an associated infection.

Bleeding from the upper reproductive system can be caused by:

* hormone replacements

* endometrial cancer

* endometrial polyps

* cervical cancer

* cervical lesions

* uterine tumors

* ovarian cancer

* estrogen-secreting tumors in other parts of the body

It is important to rule any serious disease. If it is a malignancy as you are naturally very worried about the earlier the diagnosis the earlier treatment can start. Hiding your head in the sand is not the answer.
If you have not seen your doctor please do so
