Shower gel, harmful?

I have been using shower gel "down below" in my private region for some time now, I never used to but when I started to date this guy I wanted to make myself as fresh as possible. I have started to use water again now, but I am worried that I have started an infection or could possibly have caused myself to develop vaginal or ovarian cancer! Am I just being paranoid? help!

I have not had sexual intercourse by the way, everything else other than that, I am 17 years old, it just made me freak out that I might have given myself cancer!

Bubble baths and some other bath products can cause irritation of the genital area. If you have an irritation, it could be that or it could be an infection. Since you have been sexually active, you need to see a doctor and have an infection checked.

You do not get vaginal or ovarian cancer from shower gels or bath products, but you should know you can get cervical cancer from sex, since that's how most are infected wit HPV.

If something is wrong in your private parts, don't just worry or be paranoid about it, get it checked.

If soap make you itch...stop using it! Soap will do that to females.

I dont think that you can give yourself cancer, however, I do know that you aren't supposed to wash 'down there' with shower gel as it leaves you prone to infections such as thrush...nothing serious, just unpleasant I guess. So no worries...no cancer. If it caused cancer, it wouldn't be out on the shelves. Dont forget, when you shower and wash the stuff off, the suds go all over.

I don't know that shower gel causes "cancer". Seems like someone would have filed a lawsuit by now. It might possibly cause a yeast infection, or bacterial infection. Ask a doctor. As far as shower gal, you can try Summers Eve personal cleanser.
