Even after vaccination, my daughter has got Chickenpox. Is it common to get it even after the vaccination? How serious is it? Will the marks remain? its very rare for children to get chicken pox after being vaccinated.. It is contagious and so, the child should not go to school. The pox will eventually disappear in few days or so. Should go for a medical check up before letting the child go back to school It was probably a defective vaccine. It happens sometimes. The marks should go away unless she scars it from scrathing. yes yo can get a mild case of them If a child gets it anyway....usually it is milder than without the vaccine. When my son was vaccinated...they told me it is not uncommon. Maybe the vaccine has changed but when i was a kid you got it even with the shot. The vaccine is just a more tame version. Yes it happens. If she had just gotten a vaccination, then its very common, because vaccinations are usually just dead or weakenned forms of the virus. If she gotten it later, it just happens sometimes; not too serious that i know of. My friend had chickenpox twice after she had a vaccination. But you still might want to consult with a doctor. It could be she was exposed to them before the vaccine, or possibly exposed to someone with shingles, all it takes it touching something an infected person touched. I don't know as the shot could give anyone a dose of it. Vaccination is mostly worthless for preventing any disease you are vaccinating against (a little fact you will have great difficulty dragging out of the medical establishment). But, let's say it was effective. There is another disease, very much like chickenpox cause by a different pathogen, called Rickettsial Pox |
