Vaccination for cervical cancer....? |
how many of you gals have had the vaccination?? i know my lil sis and her friends have had it so yeah iw as just curious... The vaccine is actually for HPV (Human Papilloma Virus!) which can lead to cervical cancer. I haven't had the shots because they haven't researched the long-term affects of it. It's only been studied for 3 years - who knows? Every women who's had it may become sterile with the long-term affects and not be able to have her own children. Just a thought. Best of luck! The vaccination is not for cervical cancer, it's for HPV which can lead to cervical cancer. I haven't had it, but it is a good option for sexually active women. Actually, the HPV vaccine is a good option BEFORE a girl becomes sexually active. I just had my first dose of it. I still have to go back 2 more times for the 2nd two shots. It was covered by my insurance and I figured why not, better safe than sorry. |
