No, I would not. It is way too new, there is no way of knowing how long it lasts or any possible long-term side effects. It also contains questionable ingredients, such as polysorbate 80, a know carcinogen. And, like all vaccines, it is not tested or carcinogenic or teratogenic properties, or effects on fertility.

Yes. There are so many pros and virtually no cons other than you get a needle stick. Regardless of how much sex you plan or don't plan on having with one or multiple partners this vaccine can only protect you in the long run. People are trying to turn this into a moral issue. And while I guess I can see their point (a little), mostly i think they need to chill out. You have no idea how many people you may have sexual contact with in your life. While you may be a virgin now, you may change your mind a few years down the road. Why not protect yourself?

I have a pre teen daughter and she just got her first of three that are required. At first I was not very sure as to whether she should get it because I thought she was too little. After thinking about it and reading up on it I decided this was a good thing and if she could be one less woman with HPV or cervical cancer well that would be just great. If you're worried about side effects or complications ask your doctor or nurse for some pamphlets about the vaccine and go over them with your mom.
