If a cure/vaccination were to be made for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, what would it have to do?

If a cure/vaccination were to be made for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, (HIV) what would it have to do? What elements would a vaccination have to cure? And, also, how does one get intoducted to bioengineering? What should you learn about, research, etc?

The reason we don't have a cure for HIV is because the virus itself mutates (meaning changes it's DNA) there are several different strands of HIV due to this. If they find something that works the virus changes and it doesn't work.
I am not sure what you could do to help in that area as it would possibly have to be something that could either change if it needed to in order to follow the changes in the virus or something that would kill all strands.
A few things that they have found that will kill the virus is if the blood dries the virus dies (doesn't work for us as we can't dry our blood. Bleach will kill the virus bit can't put that in out blood stream and stomach acids also kill it but again we can't put that in our blood stream.

for the last 8 years i have been learning about HIV and AIDS and this question will take quite a long run to answer .. and by the way u cant make vaccine for HIV for many reasons .. coz if it was possible, it would have been invented by today .. havnt said that science is constantly expanding and every day an new thing is discovered so maybe in the future a HIV vaccine could be developed ..

also vaccines do not 'cure' they only reduce chances of infection by killing the infecting organism before having a chance to cause a disease or show any symptoms ... with HIV this is impossible as it basically kills what kills it !!

As a teacher, it looks to me that you are trying to get other people to do your homework for you.
