What to do if I scratch an BCG vaccination site? |
I got a BCG vaccination 2 1/2 weeks ago but I accidentally scratched it in my sleep. It has now formed a flat scab over it and doesn't appeared to be ulcerated anymore. Is this normal or should I get this checked out? Also, why is it recommended not to put ointments or antiseptic creams on an open BCG wound? Its normal. Just put a small band aid on it when you sleep. That way if you scratch in your sleep your scratch the bandage not the site. |
