Confused about results of Hepatitis B blood test vaccination? |
I had the last booster dose (vaccination) for Hep B 6 months ago and i went for a blood test recently. Results said I am immune and i have 1000mcl/ul (not sure what unit it is, but something like that) where the reference range is >10 (meaning the more you're above 10 the more immune you are, and below 10 meaning no immunity at all) Thus i was wondering if it is possible to have 1000mcl/ul of antibody The level of any given antibody is normally present in astounding concentrations especially during an active immune respone. Plasma cells produce 100's of antibodies per second during an acute response. The take home message from your Heb B titer is that you're immune. |
