Growing uterine fibroids what is this? |
you see i have never had sex but my tummy is getting bigger is this the problem? what is it? please answer try these links, You need to check with your doctor. Who told you that? go to your ob/gyn- they may do an ultrasound to see if this is the case after they do the poking and pushing on your abdomen area. Last year about this time, I was diagnosed as having Fibroids too. My periods are very erratic, very long, and very heavy- all signs of fibroids....my mother had them and had a hyst. at the age of 44, I'm only 34...so I have a feeling that may be a sign for me...From what I understand they are very common, they are caused by the hormone Estrogen (I believe) and unless the fibroids are larger that 8-10 cm they will not do too much unless they are really bothersome to the woman. If you have any concerns about this, call your ob/gyn. ;o) Uterine fibroids? Wow! It sounds like something from outer space. A fibroid is a tumor that grows on or around the uterus or ovaries. Usually they are not cancerous, but sometimes they are. They can grow very fast and make you look pregnant! Best to have any fibroid out just because they are so painful later on, and can even interfere with getting pregnant. No, sorry, but you are probably just becoming fat. You can't diagnose uterine fibroids visually like that. Fibroids are benign tumors of the uterine wall. They can be large enough to enlarge your stomach or they can be quite small. Only a vaginal ultrasound can effectively diagnose fibroids. |
