Do any of you ladies here have uterine fibroids?

If so, what are you doing about them, and how do they effect you?

I'm 23 years old and I have fibroids, not too sure how many though. "They" have caused me two miscarriages last year, one at 7 weeks and the second at 16 weeks. We were not too sure what caused my miscarriages until my second loss. I haven't began treatment, although I do have an appt. set up to see my OB/GYN. I have been looking at the treatment possibilities, and trust me, I got even more depressed. Now I know that there will be misspelled words, so bare with me. :)

First treatment is a Hestorectamy, I really don't want to get rid of my uterus all in all. Second is a Myomectamy, where only the fibroids are removed. I like the idea of one day having children, so 1st choice is out the window. The issue with the second choice is 1. scar tissue may affect reproduction and 2. fibroids can come back.

The above two treatments need to be discussed with a doctor because the size and placement of the fibroids do play a big role. Oral treatments are also available, however, they only help minimize the size of the fibroids, not to get rid of them.

My husband and I are hopeful.
