I ask this question because my doctor has recommended a hysterectomy. I'd like to explore other options.

No, it only gets worst and once you have the surgery you will feel alot better get it done. I had entrometerois and it was very bad and i was ill form it it the surgery and one more thing no more periods and that was a blessing. no more having to bye tampons, pads and worry every month.
