Painful. What are options to hysterectomy? Painful, pendulated fibroid. Hysterectomy seems to be the only answer. Cannot do UFE b/c it is on a stalk. Myomectomy or myolosis (surgical removal/resection of the fibroids), uterine artery embolization (blockage of the blood supply to the fibroids), hysteroscopic resection (surgical resection), GnRH agonist drug treatment (drug therapy with Lupron Depot...I'd rather suffer daily all the days of my life from the worst crippling pelvic pain than be subjected to that horrendous, miserable drug again but that's just me). Siingle painful fibroid is surgically removed (without removing uterus totaly ) in women of child bearing age specially if the woman desires more children.If the woman is past child bearing age or desires no more children hysterectomy is the best. |
