Can anyone tell me how seriouse uterine cancer is????

what can be done ???

Only your Physician or Specialist can tell you how serious YOUR uterine cancer is, if you have it. However, just as any cancer, the variety, aggressiveness, and overall seriousness or length of time in treatment depends entirely on the stage and severity of the cancer and the patient (age, health, plans for the future, etc.).

The most common treatments for Uterine Cancer (Endometrial Cancer) are surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and hormone therapy. Thus, if the cancer has not spread beyound the uterous, hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) is the treatment of choice.

For the most part, uterine cancer is curable. However, after the disease has been diagnosed, there is nothing more you can do to prevent it; attend counseling during treatment; and after treatment, be sure to follow-up and examined regularly so that if there's a disease recurrence, it can be caught early.

Hope this answers your question!

I'm not very knowledgeable on that, but the uterine is the womb. It would seem like it would have to be removed to save the woman's life. Good luck. Pops

If it was detected early, it has a very good chance of being treated fully.

The 5 year survival rate is about 84%, and it's much higher if treated very early.

well, it can be very serious. my great-aunt died from it.

it can kill you thats how srious it is. can keep you from having kids. i know that they will do surgery and remove pre cancerous cells and they will do it to remove it as well!
