I noticed on my lab slip for a urine culture that part of my?

diagnosis said "Immunocompromised". I know what that means, that my immune system is made vulnerable because of illness or disease.
My question is...I just had a hysterectomy due to uterine cancer. But since I did not undergo chemo or radiation, does just having had cancer still make me immunocompromised? Even though the cancer was removed? Will I always be??

I'm no doctor and have no real experience in this, but it seems to me that just having had the cancer could make you immunocompromised. Cancer really takes a toll on your body, with or without chemo or radiation. My grampa had prostate cancer, had the cancer removed and went through chemo and radiation. He was immunocompromised for awhile, but now he's as healthy as the day is long. I doubt you'll always have a weakened immune system, but it could take quite some time to build it back up. You really should have asked your doctor about it while you were there. Give him a call tomorrow and talk to him about it. That's where you'll get your best answer from.

It seems odd if you are not having treatment.
The only other thing I can think of is if you have been taking prenisolone or another corticosteroid that dampen down your inflammatory response.
I think your doctor made a mistake but it should not make a difference to how they read your urine culture results.
